Hey, I'm Frank at the Sands.

I've never really liked anyone that Rory dated on "Gilmore Girls" - Dean was obsessive and immature, while Logan was stuck-up and overbearing, two conclusions I've come to thanks to my compulsive watching of ABC Family reruns. My heart (unsurprisingly) lies with Jess, the Clash-loving, "On the Road"-carrying kid from New York City that slinks into Stars Hollow, captures Rory's heart, buys her Distillers tickets and then drops out of high school and moves away without telling her. Oops.

But aside from that shitty break-up, the fact that Milo Ventimiglia, the actor that played Jess, is pretty much actually him in real life (and calls Patrick Fugit of "Almost Famous" his best friend) makes him one of my all-time favorite hot pieces. He and Alexis Bledel dated for three and a half years, a situation that fills me with as much joy as when Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams dated after "The Notebook."

So after he and Bledel split and he got with Hayden Panettiere, my happy glee fun-time turned to burning vitriol. She's annoying. She was in a "Bring It On" movie. Her overall sour demeanor has led Michael K from Dlisted to affectionately (and accurately) nickname her "Hayden Panatroll."

Thankfully, the two split in February, and here's why: According to a recent interview with Britain's Company magazine, Panettiere said, "It's very, very difficult and people have no idea what they do to peoples' relationships. They destroy them. The paparazzi and the public. The public wants to read about your personal life, and the paparazzi give it to them by nosing into your personal life and saying things that are just not true and horrible."

That may be true, sure - I can believe that paparazzi hanging around all the time could suck. But you know what else is actually true? That Hayden is 19 and Milo is 31. You know, so maybe that 12-year age difference, and Hayden's immaturity (obvious now that she's tried to get Milo kicked off the show since they broke up), were factors. Just a fucking thought.
