Gerard Butler and Alexa Chung just introduced Muse by saying the English band has never performed on American television before, which surprised me. Really? I thought they were bigger than that, since their song "Time is Running Out" was big a few years ago. The fact that they've never performed on any kind of late-night show or something is weird to me. Anyway, I guess having your performance debut at the VMAs is a good PR move? I don't know, dude, I'm too jaded about this kind of thing.
Anyway, they performed "Uprising," which is the latest single from their album "The Resistance," which comes out in Europe tomorrow. Pretty solid, I'd say.
